It was a foggy Tuesday morning for an elopement on Rough Ridge. The first rays of sunrise pierced through the foggy morning, casting a mystical glow on the rugged landscape. It was a special ceremony with the couple's friend as the officiant and just one other witness. I was there to capture their raw emotions, their shared glances, their smiles of pure joy. My camera was my tool, but their love was the true artist, painting a picture more beautiful than anything I could have envisioned. From the ridge, we journeyed to Price Lake, a serene body of water that mirrored the sky. The fog had lifted, revealing a day as bright and hopeful as the couple's future. The cake cutting ceremony was held here, near the water's edge. The lake was our quiet witness as the couple cut into the cake, their hands intertwined, their laughter echoing across the water. Afterwards, I took more portraits. The lake was a perfect backdrop, its tranquility enhancing the love between the two. The couple posed naturally, their easy camaraderie a testament to the deep bond they shared. Their eyes spoke volumes, telling a story of love, commitment, and a shared journey. I felt honored to be a part of this intimate moment, to be the one capturing these memories that they would cherish for a lifetime. When my work was done, I packed up my gear, leaving the couple to enjoy the rest of their day in peace. As I walked away, I couldn't help but reflect on the beauty of the day. The foggy morning, the sunrise on Rough Ridge, the laughter by Price Lake. It was a perfect day, a day of love and commitment, a day I was privileged to be a part of. As a photographer, there's nothing more exhilarating than capturing the beauty of the world around me. Recently, I had the pleasure of doing a styled shoot in Belmont, North Carolina. The location? A serene bamboo forest at a venue aptly named Camelot Meadows.Upon entering this magical enclave, I was instantly captivated. The bamboo trees towered above, their slender trunks reaching for the sky, a sea of green leaves rustling gently in the breeze. The sun's rays trickled through the canopy, casting a gentle, dappled light that painted the forest floor. It was as if I had stepped into a different world, one of tranquility and natural beauty.The shoot itself was a dream. The forest provided the perfect backdrop, its natural elegance enhancing each frame. I was able to capture stunning shots that embodied the peace and serenity of the bamboo forest.
